The one hundredth anniversary of Gene Autry’s birth was in 2007. There was much to celebrate about the man who created the image of the B Western Singing Cowboy, sang Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, served his country in World War II, and loved baseball so much that he bought his very own team.
