Brief Synopsis:
A hardheaded businesswoman finds that efficiency is not the only thing to consider when running the ranch where Gene is foreman.

Detailed Synopsis:
Gene Autry is foreman of the Jingle Bell Ranch, which was recently inherited by headstrong business graduate Torrey Palmer. She is determined to turn a profit using modern, efficient methods, including selling all “non-essential” livestock. After she finds out that Gene personally owns Champion, she sets her sights on Little Champ, whom she wants to sell to the highest bidder. Since Little Champ is the inseparable companion of Champion, Gene decides to get rid of Torrey by trying to make her believe the ranch is haunted. The plan fails, and Gene and the ranch hands quit. She then becomes trapped in a burning stable and is only rescued because of Champ’s love for Little Champ. Afterwards, Torrey finally sees things Gene’s way, and their problems are solved.
