Brief Synopsis:
The owner of a seemingly jinxed stageline enlists Gene and Pat’s help to find the real cause behind a series of robberies.

Detailed Synopsis:
At a loss to stop the trouble with his stageline, Jim Saunders enlists the aid of Gene Autry and his astrology-quoting pal, Pat Buttram, to help him solve his difficulties. Jim’s spoiled son, Ray, in love with Linda, the daughter of crooked Jason McKee, unwittingly assists McKee with information about the stageline. Gene captures Burke, one of McKee’s henchmen, but Pat lets him escape. Linda, using her love as an excuse, goads Ray into telling her father that Gene is taking the payroll on the stage. McKee puts his henchman to the task, not knowing that Gene and Jim Saunders have decided to change places at the last minute. Ray discovers his mistake, tells McKee to call off the deal, and goes to aid his father. McKee sends the henchmen after Ray, while Gene follows. Burke and Slade open fire and wound Ray, just as Gene arrives. Burke gets away, but Gene catches him in McKee’s office asking for his cut of the money. After a knockdown, drag out fight, the stageline trouble is solved, the culprits brought to justice, and peace reigns again.
