Synopsis:
The Last Round-Up is a story of modern times, thundering with all the thrills of the old West. Gene Autry is a cattle rancher determined to protect the interests of neighboring ranchers and Indians against unscrupulous land manipulators when local authorities plan to build an aqueduct. Filmed in Arizona’s "Old Tucson," Gene is better than ever riding, roping, fighting and singing his way to victory against all kinds of odds!

- When The Last Round-Up was released in theaters, Gene Autry was on the air with his weekly 30 minute Melody Ranch radio show. On December 7, 1947 Gene's radio program presented a show saluting "a guy called G.I. Joe, Infantryman – Sailor – Flyer – Marine – American" on the sixth anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Patriotic and war-related songs as well as a drama about a soldier home from war are just a few of the highlights from this special radio program.
