Horsing Around at the Autry!

Gene Autry Entertainment and the Autry National Center invite you to come “horse around” at the Autry Museum on Thursday, November 10th for a special evening of horse-themed book signings, gallery tours, and a movie screening.
Meet the authors of the newly released book, Hollywood Hoofbeats: Trails Blazed Across the Silver Screen, Petrine Mitchum and Audrey Pavia. Fans of our website will recognize Petrine Day Mitchum as the researcher who helped us with our Champion section of the website. Petrine and Audrey will be happy to autograph your brand new copy of the book which you can purchase in the Autry Museum Store.
Afterwards, grab a bite to eat the Golden Spur Café. Then you’ll be ready to “gallop” through the museum for a special horse-themed tour with the Autry’s Senior Curator, Michael Duchemin. Then, take a seat in the Wells Fargo Theater and hear a discussion of the book with the authors and Vice President of Gene Autry Entertainment, Karla Buhlman. We’ll finish the evening with a Silver Screen legend, Gene Autry’s horse, Champion, in a screening of the digitally restored movie, Bells of Capistrano (1942).

Admission to the Autry National Center is free on Thursdays, 4:00PM to 8:00PM. On November 10th, the special horse-themed tour is also free. Admission to the Wells Fargo Theater for the book discussion and movie screening is free for Autry National Center members and $5.00 for non-members.
Members can use their Membership Discount to purchase the book at store, buy dinner at the Café, and will be admitted to the movie screening for FREE. Not a member of the Autry National Center? Find out how to join here!
