Lifetime Achievement Award

Gene Autry's musical career began in 1929 as the "Oklahoma Yodeling Cowboy" on radio station KVOO in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Eighty years later America's Favorite Singing Cowboy was honored with the Recording Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Lobby of the Autry National Center will soon have a case honoring Gene Autry's Lifetime Achievement Award Grammy.

The case is ready.

The museum's Collections and Exhibits team secures the object mounts.
