Hallowe'en Masquerade Dance
Gene Autry's Melody Ranch Radio Show
(October 31, 1954)

Gene Autry's October 31, 1954 "Melody Ranch" radio show had a humorous "Hallowe'en" comedy segment. And yes, more than sixty years ago that is how the script spelled this spooky time of year.

Gene's longtime friend and sidekick Pat Buttram has been invited to Miss Histamine Hoskins' Hallowe'en Masquerade Dance. And of course Pat has a special holiday poem in honor of Gene – "Oh Dear Mr. A."

This radio show was broadcast live on Halloween 1954 from the CBS Studio 2 in Hollywood, California. It aired on the full CBS Radio Network.
