I'm Comin' Home Darling
Gene Autry's Melody Ranch Radio Show
(August 31, 1941)

Once you hear Gene Autry's debut performance of "I'm Comin' Home Darling" you can understand why he was intruded on this August 31, 1941 episode of his Melody Ranch radio show as "that Straight-Shooting, Fast-Riding, Troubadour of the Trail, Republic Picture's Ace Singing Cowboy Star ... Gene Autry!"

This romantic Western ballad would become quite popular during America's participation in World War II. Gene not only performed this on his Melody Ranch radio show but also on his Sgt. Gene Autry radio show when he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942.
