Moonlight Bay
Gene Autry's Melody Ranch Radio Show
(August 16, 1952)

Gene Autry's August 24, 1947 performance of "Moonlight Bay" from his "Melody Ranch" radio show is backed by Carl Cotner's Orchestra and the vocal harmonies of the Cass County Boys and a Girl's Trio. Gene sang this "mighty pretty old tune" several times in his post-World War II radio shows.

The radio show included music and comedy as well as an action packed drama. At the end of this clip, you hear Gene Autry joke with his longtime friend and sidekick, Pat Buttram.
