Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Gene Autry's Melody Ranch Radio Show
(November 3, 1951)

Gene Autry introduces his November 3, 1951 Melody Ranch radio show performance of "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" by announcing that "the song last year sold over two million phonograph records." In this performance, Gene seems to enjoy singing his holiday hit is backed by Carl Cotner's Melody Ranch Orchestra. From 1949 to 1955 Gene performed the song more than 19 times on his radio show. Today, over half a century later, "Rudolph" is still Gene Autry's biggest selling record.
