Gene Autry serenades Champion, World's Wonder Horse and Alan Hale, Jr. with "The Strawberry Roan" from The Gene Autry Show, Season 1 episode "Hot Lead." In 1948, Gene starred in the popular movie The Strawberry Roan. Alan Hale would go on to play the Skipper on Gilligan's Island.
