Gene Autry's performance of "When My Blue Moon Turns to Gold Again" is backed by Carl Cotner's Orchestra and is from his August 24, 1947 "Gene Autry's Melody Ranch" radio show. Gene must have enjoyed this number because he sang it nine times between 1946 and 1955, and on several occasions he opened the show with it.

The show included music and comedy as well as an action packed drama. At the end of this clip, you hear the show's announcer Lou Crosby praising Gene's performance.
